Moali Voshagh (b. 2002, Tehran) is an Iranian composer and pianist whose work grows out of a combined interest in classical composition, Persian modal traditions, and contemporary sonic practices. After beginning music through piano performance in childhood, he later pursued formal studies in composition and is currently completing his B.A. in Music Composition.
Alongside his academic training, he has continued to explore a range of musical fields including modal and Dastgāh-based writing, contemporary chamber music, electroacoustic work, and audiovisual experimentation. This parallel interest in multiple musical languages has shaped both his approach to form and his understanding of sound.
His recent activities include works presented in festivals and workshops, such as the string quintet Faryâd, which received recognition at the National Youth Music Festival, and Hāfeze-ye qanāt-e na chandān qadimī, selected for performance and future presentation within the Kariz Project. Some of his other pieces, including audiovisual and piano-based works, have appeared in smaller international and online festivals. He also performs as a pianist in selected collaborative projects.
